Almus wins Innovation in Pharmacy award
Almus Pharmaceuticals won the prestigious 'Innovation in Pharmacy' award on Monday 24 October 2005 at the fifth annual Pharmacy Business Awards Gala Dinner in London. The awards, which recognise excellence in community pharmacy, are voted for by independent pharmacists throughout the UK.
"Winning the 'Innovation in Pharmacy' award is a tremendous endorsement of the ingenuity of the Almus range and its contribution to community pharmacy and we are delighted to have received this award. When Almus launched two years ago, it broke the mould of generic packaging design. Acting as a catalyst for change in the industry, Almus has become synonymous with innovation, colour and patient safety," commented Tony Foreman, CEO, Almus Pharmaceuticals, and Group Director of Commercial Activities, Alliance UniChem.
Ornella Barra, Executive Director, Alliance UniChem, and Tony Foreman received the award in front of a 900 strong audience which included guest speaker Jane Kennedy, Minister of State for Quality and Patient Safety. This prestigious event also brought together several Members of Parliament and heads of the leading professional bodies and pharmacy trade associations.
